If you have used earlier iterations of PMcardio before, you will be pleased to know that we have recently released a new version of PMcardio with multiple added features and enhancements.
#1. PMcardio is an officially certified medical device
While the previous versions were not officially certified by any of the notified bodies, PMcardio is a CE-marked class IIb medical device certified under MDR (Medical Devices Regulation).
We are proud to say that PMcardio is also the world’s first CE-certified AI-powered platform for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases.
In addition, PMcardio is approved by MHRA and holds ISO 13485 and TÜV certificates, ensuring we meet the highest industry standards and level of performance and safety.
#2. PMcardio digitization is now 2X faster
There were also significant improvements made in the performance of our digitization feature. This means that our app is not only better at reading ECGs, but it is also two times faster.
We have cut down the average response time of the ECG digitization module in PMcardio to 2.1 seconds!
#3. PMcardio undistorts & improves the quality of any 12-lead ECG
PMcardio’s digitization module is not only faster but also more powerful, with improved algorithms and scale normalization techniques.
This allows it to remove distortion and improve the overall quality of the digitized ECG, even when working with ECG strips that are old, damaged, or have been in any way deformed.
This powerful tool is a game-changer for healthcare professionals, as they can now work with ECGs that may have previously been considered unusable or of poor quality.

#4. New supported diagnoses
The new, certified version of the app supports 15 more diagnoses than any previous version; in other words – we expanded the diagnostic ability of PMcardio from 23 to 38 supported cardiovascular diagnoses and measurements.
These include various arrhythmias and conduction system abnormalities, such as the Long QT Syndrome – a potentially life-threatening condition that is often drug-induced and asymptomatic.
#5. More advanced Patient Management Recommendations
There are thousands of pages worth of patient management guidelines – for cardiovascular diseases alone. Plus, they change in regular intervals of 2-3 years! We understand that all this may get overwhelming for physicians and challenging to keep up.
Thanks to PMcardio’s in-app Patient Management Recommendations (PMRs), healthcare profs will no longer need to worry about keeping up with guidelines – with PMcardio, they will always adhere to the most up-to-date version.
The feature is built on elaborate decision trees developed using the official clinical practice guidelines published by the ESC (European Society of Cardiology).
PMcardio provides treatment recommendations for all 38 cardiovascular diagnoses that our app supports, along with referral recommendations based on the traffic-light triage system.

#6. A professional PDF diagnostic report
To bring you as much value from PMcardio as possible, the 2.6 version of our app includes professional ECG diagnostic reporting, on par with reports that external on-demand ECG interpretation services or e-consultation services provide.
These fully-detailed PDF reports can be exported and integrated into patients’ electronic health records.
The PDF report includes data about the patient’s case divided into three sections:
- Digitized ECG: The digitized ECG will be either single-page or multi-page based on the selected ECG format. This section additionally contains basic ECG measurements and settings.
- Patient management: Section displaying all patient & ECG-related information (including basic parameters, follow-up questions, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations).
- Chat history: Transcript of the full chat history linked to the ECG report.

#7. Support for both personal and institutional profiles and credit purchasing
The app that we have just launched is available in different pricing models.
- One-off purchases – Purchasing works via Apple App Store and Google Play Store in-app purchases using consumables (report credits).
- Subscription plans – Starter plan with unlimited reports, paid monthly. Payment works via Stripe. You can view the full pricing here.
#8. ECG format icons
Here’s another small but important usability improvement. While creating a new report and importing an ECG, you can scroll through the different ECG format icons and choose the one that matches the ECG format you’re about to digitize.
Below, you’ll find the list of #8 product improvements that make the new PMcardio app more powerful and superior to any of the previous versions.
The icon’s appearance now more closely represents the layout of real ECG formats, and the contrast of the lead sections was increased by colour.
