Tatranské kardiofórum is the spring meeting of the Slovak Society of Cardiology, held at Hotel Patria on the shore of Štrbské Pleso. It continues the tradition of the Tatranské kardiologické dni — a deliberately intimate, single-track event with a strong postgraduate educational focus and the informal "mountain" atmosphere that makes it a favourite of the Slovak cardiology community.
The programme centres on state-of-the-art lectures proposed by SKS working groups and delivered by leading Slovak experts, together with an Implementation Meeting on European Society of Cardiology guidelines. The aim is to compare the guidelines with Slovak practice, identify gaps and discuss how to close them — in 2026 covering valvular heart disease and cardiovascular disease in pregnancy.
