The annual congress of the Slovak Society of Cardiology is the largest cardiology meeting in Slovakia, gathering around 700 cardiologists, internists, cardiac surgeons, paediatric cardiologists and nurses. The 2026 edition is the 31st congress and, as the organisers emphasise, remains a strictly scientific and professional event.
A signature feature is the "implementation meetings" format, which goes beyond restating European Society of Cardiology guidelines to discuss how they should be applied in Slovak clinical practice — this year including recommendations on mental health and cardiovascular disease. The programme also includes SKS working-group blocks, original research presentations, partner-supported lectures, and workshops with simulators.
