Project Manager – Public Procurement & Grants
Reporting to the Operations Lead and working closely with the executive team, you will own the public procurement agenda for our grant-funded projects and drive their day-to-day implementation. If you are looking for a hands-on role where you will be trusted to take ownership from day one and see the direct impact of your work, this is the right role for you.
The opportunity
Powerful Medical has secured a €40 million IPCEI grant, a €2.5 million EIC Accelerator grant, and a €1 million VAIA grant in the last 3 years, and we continue to expand our grant portfolio to fuel the next phase of growth.
Your role
- Own the procurement agenda: Plan upcoming tenders, prepare tender documentation, and run the procedures from tender launch to contract signature with the support of legal counsels
- Apply the rules: Apply the grant-specific procurement rules, conduct market research, evaluate bids, register procedures in the relevant systems, and keep documentation audit-ready to withstand inspections by the funding authority
- Support grant implementation: Track milestones, deliverables, and budgets, and prepare periodic reports for funding authorities
- Coordinate stakeholders: Act as the coordination point between internal teams (finance, legal, engineering, medical) and external stakeholders (advisors, funding agencies, consortium partners)
- Support operations: Support the broader operations agenda, including process improvements, internal tooling, and cross-functional projects
Your profile
- Experienced: 3+ years of experience in grant management, public procurement, or consulting
- Procurement exposure: Experience with public procurement is a strong advantage, but the agenda can also be learned. You'll work side by side with specialized external procurement lawyers on a multi-million-euro tender portfolio, so what we need from you is the drive to absorb the topic fast and take ownership of it
- Publicly funded projects: Hands-on experience with the management of publicly funded projects
- Generalist: A true generalist and multitasker who thrives on running several workstreams in parallel without dropping the ball
- Fast learner: Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable with modern AI tools. You absorb new domains quickly and are expected to use the best available tooling to work smarter
- Communicator: Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, in Slovak and English
- Bonus: Background in consulting or experience in fast-growing organizations
